These terms cover using the Beot website and the Beot app during early access. By using either, you agree to them. How we handle information is covered in the Privacy Policy.
Early access
Beot is in early access. Features may change, break or be removed, and we may pause or end early access at any time. We’ll do our best to tell you first.
Your data is yours
- You own your notes, files and everything you or your assistant build in Beot.
- Beot runs on your computer, so you’re responsible for your device and your backups. The app includes backup tools; please use them.
AI assistants and AI output
- AI can be wrong. Check anything important it produces (plans, dates, summaries, numbers) before you rely on it.
- When you connect an AI provider, your use of it is also governed by that provider’s terms.
- You’re responsible for what you ask your assistant to do in your workspace.
Using Beot responsibly
Don’t use Beot to break the law, to harm others, or to get around its safety limits (such as page locks or the canvas sandbox). Don’t try to access other people’s data or our systems without permission.
The software
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Beot app while these terms apply. Please don’t resell it, or remove notices from it.
No warranty
Beot is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of Beot. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Beot in the prior 12 months (during free early access, that’s $0).
Ending
You can stop using Beot and uninstall it at any time. We may end your access if you break these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above, and for significant changes we’ll let people who requested access know by email.
